Sounds a bit like my house at the moment. If you look at my blog we took down a wall over the weekend to make way for a door and ripped off the current door so that wall can be plastered over - lots of fun!

Love it! I love to look at old door handles and locks, although they were a bit of a pain when we had them at our previous home.
